I grew up in Florida and then finished school on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, graduating from Manteo High School. Following that, I obtained a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration at East Carolina University, where I graduated at the top of my class in Finance. Before starting law school, I worked with Merrill Lynch and a Private capital group, gaining a sharp understanding of business dynamics and client-focused service. These early experiences shaped my ability to navigate complex financial and legal landscapes, a skill I now apply to my practice.

I earned my Juris Doctor from Whittier Law School in California as a Dean’s Merit Scholar, completing the program in two-and-a-half years. During law school, I served in a prestigious clerkship with the Orange County District Attorney’s Gang Unit, where I assisted in the investigation and prosecution of gang-related felonies, and capital murder cases. This role honed my skills in criminal law and litigation, teaching me the importance of meticulous preparation. I also developed and taught “Street Law,” a curriculum for at-risk high school students, empowering them to avoid legal pitfalls. This experience reinforced my commitment to education that helped to transform lives.

During my last year and a half in law school, I gained extensive trial experience with the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office in Los Angeles County, where I personally tried hundreds of criminal and traffic cases. This hands-on courtroom work solidified my hunger to work in litigation during my early years of practice. After law school I practiced with the Sris Law Group in Virginia, where I represented clients across 19 counties and in federal courts, including the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia and the Executive Board of Immigration Review. These experiences strengthened my ability to handle complex criminal and civil cases with precision.
