David P. Sheehan attended East Carolina University where he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Graduated top in his major of Finance. Prior to law school he worked for Merrill Lynch and Lilly Beter, a Private Capital Group.

Following Undergraduate, he attended Whittier Law School as a Dean's Merit Scholar, graduating early in two and a half years. He concentrated his studies in Criminal law, Civil Litigation, and participated in international criminal and civil rights programs which involved studying at the ICC (International Criminal Court) at Hague during Slobadon Milosovich's trial for war crimes. In addition to his studies, he held a prestigious clerkship at the Gang Unit of the Orange County District Attorney's office in California, where he actively assisted Gang Suppression officers and District Attorneys in the investigation, compilation, and prosecution of gang related felonies and Capital Murder cases. He created a curriculum and taught a class titled "Street Law" to at risk high school students to help educate and inform them of potential pitfalls that they may encounter as juvenile or an adult once they enter the criminal system.

Following these experiences, Mr. Sheehan gained prosecutorial experience in Los Angeles County at the Long Beach City Prosecutors' office where he personally tried hundreds of Criminal and Traffic trials.

After moving from California, Mr. Sheehan returned to the East Coast to practice with a Civil and Criminal Litigation firm named the Sris Law Group. During this time he appeared before District and Circuit Courts in 19 Virginia Counties. Additionally, he represented clients in the Federal Eastern District of Virginia, Federal Western District of Virginia, and the Executive Board of Immigration Review.

Mr. Sheehan is now based out of Charlotte, North Carolina, but continues to represent clients throughout Virginia. Currently his practice is concentrating in Civil and Criminal Litigation in the areas of Personal Injury, Family Litigation, and Criminal law. By maintaining close relationships and working with a number of attorneys as "of counsel" in nearly every practice area you can be assured that no case is to complex.
